She was predeceased by: her husband George; her parents, Reg Turney and Alice Turney; her sisters, Joyce and Linda; her son-in-law Tim; and her pet Tripper.

She is survived by: her children, Rose King of Glace Bay, NS and Jerry DeQuetteville (Paul) of Burlington; her grandson Brad King (Joan Gillis); and her great grandchildren, Haley of Glace Bay, NS. and John-Thomas King of Glace Bay, NS.. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
