He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Swinton and Delia Swinton. He is survived by: his wife Heather; his grandchild Lacey; his sisters, Debbie Chaudhari (Zaf), Sharon Larmond and Heather Swinton; his parents-in-law, Bonnie and Doug Willoughby; and his sisters, Kim (Jim Trimm) and Dougie Willoughby (Gail Courneya). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society, or charity of choice.
