She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Johnston (Andrea) of Halifax and Kelvin Johnston (Evelyn) of Newmarket; her grandchildren, Taylor, Ellie, Kelsey, Kennedy, Evan, Ethan and Keatyn; and her siblings, Shirley Simpson (Paul), Gayle Grills (George), Sheilda Owens (Maurice), Neil Whitton (Elspeth) and David.
