He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Watkins and Bessie Watkins; his former wife Linda Trumble; his wife Dorothy Beynon; and his siblings, Bruce, Marjorie, Gordon, Morley, Jim and David.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chelsey (Jonathan) and Niki (Alex); his grandsons, Hudson and Junho; and his siblings, Paul, Ruby, Frances and Laura. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and countless extended family members and friends.
