He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Thompson and Lloyd Thompson; his sister Edna Chamber (David); and his grandson Jeff Ward. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Thompson; his children, Michelle Morley (Chris) and Brent Thompson (Brenda Ward); his grandchildren, Alexis, Logan, Hope, Devon, Tyler, Brad and Tanner; his great grandchildren, Lily, Blaise and Oaklyn; and his brothers, George Thompson (Gayle) and Edward Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
