He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Ashcroft and Jessie Ashcroft; his daughter Carol Riddell; his grandson Christopher; and his brother Warren.

He is survived by: his children, Robert (Stella) of St. Thomas, Barbara (Murray Luxon) of Millgrove, Beckie (Steve Wheaton) of Milton and Brian (Cathie) of Beamsville; his stepdaughter Sandra (Tony Tanghe) of Delhi; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Kenneth, Tammy, Brett, Gregory, Lee-Ann, Heather and Sarah; his sister Kaye (Bill Clarke); his sister-in-law Doreen; and his son-in-law Jim Riddell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
