He is survived by: his wife Sonya Pines Slater; his children, Greg Slater, Lindi (Stephen Rivers), Candi (Tim Cosgrove), Elayne Pines and Marlene (Stewart Reed); his grandchildren, Corben, Sophie, Talia, Mark, Karen, Erin, Tim, Melanie, Darren and David; his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Emily, Makayla, Alex, Liam and Abby; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff (Nancy), Barbara, Robin and Jay (Sylvia).
