He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nathan Richler and Rae Veinish; his wife Betty Smith; his children, Barry (Marla Richler), Clifford Richler (Danielle Rabinowitz) and Jo Richler (Paul Kleiman); his siblings, Sherna (Nat Gross), Lee (Ed Liasson), Lenny (Rhoda Smith), Bernard (Libby Smith) and Helen (Hy Fisher); and his grandchildren, Neil, Lauren Richler, Alicia Richler, David Kalman, Darcie Richler, Leigh Lampert, Dustin Richler, Alex Richler, Alexander "Rocky" Z, Sarah Richler-Kleiman, Jacob Richler-Kleiman, Emma Ackerley, Benji, Emma Richler, Matthew, Julia, Nessa Kalman, Max, Sam and Zev Lampert. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
