He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Hertzman; and his sister Helen Hirschorn. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie (Robert), Edward (Devra) and Norman (Barbara); his grandchildren, Jordan, Russell, Lindsay, Noah, Summer and Rachel; his niece Gail; and his nephew Brian.
