He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Neill and Della Neill; and his brothers, Willard, Calven, Rocky and Truman.

He is survived by: his spouse Marjorie Neill; his children, Bonnie Thomas (Mike), Merv Jr. Neill (Debbie), Tony Neill (Lyta) and Thomas Neill (Brenda); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kurtis (Shari), Courtney (Avery), Baillie, Kadin, Whitney, Jessica (Mitch), Ashley (Keith), Amy (Matthew), Madison (Tuscun), Robyn (Christopher), Zachary (Kristen) and Cody (Amy); his great grandchildren, Anya, Landen, Alexis, Aiden, Liam, Tia and Olivia; and his siblings, Sandy Neill (Martha) and Nellie Hanna (John).
