He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Gilson and Eilene Gilson; and his brother Doug. He is survived by: his wife Teresa; his children, Brad (Glenda) and Charity (Ryan); his grandchildren, Lanie and Gustav (Emily); and his siblings, Gord (Bonnie), Sharon (Peter), Jim (Wendy), Lois (Ang), Steve (Shannon), Deb, Don, Jeanette (Bruce) and Cynthia (Ariel). He is also survived by his many nieces, other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel (9 Paget St, Sundridge, ON P0A1Z0). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Higher Heights Christian Fellowship Church (79 Ottawa Ave, South River, ON P0A1X0).
