He was predeceased by: his grandchild Jensen; his sister Cathy Bantten; and his parents, Herbert Bantten and Mary Bantten. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bantten; his children, John Bantten (Janis), Courtney Courvoisier (Cory) and Jamie Bantten; his grandchildren, Zander and Chance; and his siblings, Gord Bantten (Francisca), Mary Lou Teutenberg (Peter) and Paul Bantten (Wendy).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by Robert's family.
