He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry O'Grady and Willa O'Grady; his sisters, Doris and Helen; and his son-in-law Erich Freymann.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Raffaella; his children, Cathy Killaly (Bradley) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Marion Freymann of North Sutton, New Hampshire and Diane O'Grady of North Bay; his grandchildren, Brendan, Anna, Alek and Derek; and his sister Katherine Whitely (David).
