It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henri George Joseph Dielwart in North Bay, Ontario, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Henri shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Henri farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Henri; and also Veronica. He was also cherished by his family, and Hank to all his friends and colleagues, was the oldest of 4 children.
Eventually, after having to retire from the Reserves at age 65, Hank continued on as a Civilian Instructor in the same capacity until his FINAL retirement when mobility issues caused him to stop flying and Covid put an end to gliding in North Bay.
Hank donated his Chipmunk to the Canadian Warplane Haritage Museum in Hamilton in 2003.
