He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Newman and Dora Newman; his wife Eileen Newman; his son Kevin Newman; and his siblings, Sylvia Geiger (late Jim) and John Newman (late Marjorie).
He is survived by: his daughter Kim; his grandsons, Kevin and Chad Newman; his sisters, Jessica Falcioni (Julia Merchant), Gwen Whillans (late Alan) of Parry Sound and Dorothy Chellew (late Wayne) of Athens; and also Josiah. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
