He is survived by: his son Matt; his pet Odin; and his siblings, Bill Vander Velde (Sharon), Dorothy Stark (Morris), Maynard Vander Velde (Ellie), John Vander Velde (Irene), Wiebe Vander Velde (late Bev), Albert Vander Velde (late Dorothy) and Peter Vander Velde (Ruth). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
