He was predeceased by: his daughter Barbara; his parents, George Whitaker and Catherine Whitaker (Katie); and his siblings, Monica, Ray and Mike Whitaker.
He is survived by: his daughter Tara Whitaker; his granddaughters, Krissy, Amanda and Alyssa Whitaker; and also, James, Sonya Whitaker, Karen Whitaker (McNevan), Peter, Manon Whitaker, Patti Whitaker (Repath), Gale Whitaker (Nichols), Victoria, Judy Whitaker (McDonald) and Lindsay. He is also survived by his many great grandchildren.
