He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm and Helene; and his sister Helga. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Meier; his sons, Alex (Mary), Nicolas (Alma) and Rudy; his grandchildren, David, Dimirti, Katie, Lea, Isabelle and Steph (Jon); and his great grandchild Hudson.
