Fred Purkhart Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2021, at the age of 89, Fred Purkhart in Nipissing, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lenore (Straus); his daughter Mary Whitwell (Ken); his brother Hans; and his parents, Maria Kogler and Ferdinand Purkhart.
He is survived by: his children, Netta Lamothe (Phil), DeeDee Woodruff (Bill), David Purkhart, Christine MacDonell (Christopher), Paula Bertrand (Ron), Jan Purkhart and Jeff Purkhart (Allison); his sister-in-law Irene Purkhart; his close friend Natalie Dunn; and his grandchildren, Sean, Tania, Erin, Amy, Ashleigh, Nicholas, Darren, Kyle, Ryan, Daniel Travis, Nathan, Bradley and Michael. He is also survived by his 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a service will be announced and held at a later time.
If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society (Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay and Districts) in Fred's memory would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
