She is survived by: her husband Errol; her children, Brenda Hyson, Lucienne Hyson, Sonia Bayley and Andrew Hyson; her sister Constance Astaphan; her grandchildren, Renée Lee-Him, Darnelle Charles, Shane Lee-Him, Matthew Bayley, Isaiah Hyson, Damon Charles, Nicholas Bayley, Ethan Hyson, Stuart Bayley, Nathan Bayley, Dawndrae Marsh, Selah Hyson and Simone Robinson; and her great grandchildren, Matthias James Bayley and Tobias Marsh.

Memorial donations may be made in Hazel Hyson's name to The Canadian Cancer Society.
