He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anita (Porter); his stepchildren, Andrea Ralston (Matt), Adam Maude (Ana) and Emily O'Brien (Steve); his parents, Jack Phillips and Hazel Phillips; his parents-in-law, Roy and Joyce Porter; and his siblings, Lynda Mollison (Phil) and Andrew Phillips (Susie). He was also cherished by many friends, colleagues and extended family.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations, Six Nations of the Grand River and/or Niagara SPCA and Humane Society.
