It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stelio Mihelic (Niagara Falls, Ontario), who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his spouse Zdenka; his children, Zeljko Mihelic (Marilyn), Darko Mihelic (Cristina) and Elizabeth DelVecchio (Tony); his grandchildren, Erik, Luka, Julianna, Martin, Elli Mihelic, Lukas, Alex and Emma DelVecchio; his sisters, Lidia Hrast (late Toni) and Graziella Floris (Marino); and his sisters-in-law, Branka Mihelic (late Dario) and Ana Pletikos (late Mario). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Draga Zdenka, Zeijko, Darko, Betty and the entire family. We are deeply saddened and share your grief over the passing of Stelio. He was a wonderful man who always had a smile and warm embrace to greet you. His hospitality was enormous and I remember the great Prsut he brought from Croatia ( I often wondered how he was able to get it through customs) and as a gracious host at Betty’s wedding.
