She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bob; her children, Sharon Janzen, Paul Janzen and Donna Janzen-Mendelson (Geremy); her grandchildren, Michael Janzen, Emma Janzen-Mendelson and Abby Janzen-Mendelson; her great grandchildren, Xavier, Emma, Dallas and McKenzie; her nieces, Debi Brock, Janet Brock (Ian) and Cathy Clarkson (Wayne); her nephew Bill Williams (Anne); her friends, Sue, Heidi, Kelly, Pat and Yvonne; her parents, Leonard Cecil Brock and Hilda Mae Brock; and her siblings, Chuck (Faye) and Lilian (Harry). She was also cherished by friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Society (research and education) can be made in Shirley's memory.
