He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Young. He is survived by: his children, Karen Smith (Les), Kevin Young and Alan Young; his grandchildren, Blake, Megan, Jordan, Dalton and Matthew (Alexa); and his great grandchildren, Kory, Rylee and Noella.

Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to St. Vincent de Paul which was Gordons favourite charity.

Serving him as the superintendents we had a few opportunities to talk with him and to hear him share his thoughts on current events. It is always difficult in growing close with our residents as there comes a time that we must say farewell.
