She was predeceased by: her husband Josef; and her brothers, Alfred, Karl and Hans. She is survived by: her children, Doris Downie (John), John Mitterling (Carmen) and Lisa Reddick (Mark); her grandchildren, Jason, Erin Mitterling, Blake, Klare (Jared), Kate (Alex), Clarke Reddick, Megan and Michael Downie; and her sister Anneliese. She is also survived by mother and grandmother to her three children and eight grandchildren.
