He was predeceased by: his parents, Ukoha Ume and Ugodia Ume; his brother Theo; and his brother-in-law Ken. He is survived by: his wife Susan'Sue'; his children, Chioma Ume (Brian Janosch), Emesia Ume (Lisa McIntyre), Chukwu Ume and Afam Ume; his grandchild Anaya Ume; his siblings, Lucy, Celestina, Margaret, Jude, Levina and Valentine; and his brothers-in-law, Robert and Daniel. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
