He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Danielle (Thomas) and Amanda (Lucas); his parents, Margaret and Tony Gravel; his parents-in-law, Frances and Lothar Brosch; his sister-in-law Heidi Beckett (Kevin); his nieces and nephews, Justin Chapman, Megan Labrie, Trent and Reilly Leck; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Paislee, Lily Chapman, Addy, Tempe Labrie and Hudson Leck-Einboden (Lil Huddy).

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home (524 Davis Dr, Newmarket, ON L3Y2P3). A reception was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.

Donations in memory of Shawn can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or Diabetes Canada.
