She was predeceased by: her husband William; her parents, Amelia and Frederick; her siblings, Fred, Gwen, Elsie and Hilda; and her close friend Joan.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne (Eric) and Brian (Denise); her grandchildren, Melissa (Derek), Ashley (Adam), Kyle (Nicole) and Kimberley (Sheldon); and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Logan, Connor, Ainsley, Colton and Callum.
While flowers are welcomed (Ruth loved flowers), a donation on her behalf to the Palliative Care Unit at Southlake Hospital would also be a generous way of commemorating her life.
