Mary Kate Merrimen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Kate Merrimen of Newmarket, Ontario, who passed away on January 4, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Vincent Merrimen; and her siblings, Peggy Minogue, Catherine Moloney, Agnes Hogan, DJ Moloney (Toronto), Sean Moloney and Seamus Moloney.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Church (17955 Leslie St, Newmarket, ON L3Y9A4).
