We bid farewell to Jack West (Newmarket, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 15, 2024 at the age of 83. Jack touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Art West and Mae West; and his sisters, Rose Ann and Linda. He is survived by: his wife Anne (Longstreet); his children, Ida Mae, Sara (Steve), Mark (Angela) and Joe (Olga); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Larissa, Jacob, Emma, Kennedy, Talon, John and Peter; and his siblings, Rod, Maureen, Pat and Bud.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home - Playter Chapel (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9). A reception will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home - Reception Room (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9).

“Mr. West was my grade 6 teacher, high school guidance teacher and friend. He made a point of coming to my father's military antiques store back in grade 6 and when he heard I was performing with my Celtic band the Flailing Shilaleighs he came out a few times to see me and reminisce of past times. I can say his positive attitude and love of music and drama helped guide me into the teaching profession. Needless to say he has been a big influence in my career. May he rest in Peace.”
