She was predeceased by: her former husband James Groves; her children, Michael (Shelley) and Elizabeth (Paul); her parents, Bertram Baird and Gladys Baird; and her grandmother Evie.
She is survived by: her husband Derek Johnston; her siblings, Barbara (Scoot), Bob and Betty (Dave); and her grandchildren, Katie, Autumn and James. She is also survived by loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Cancer.ca), as Evie spent many Aprils fundraising for Canadian Cancer Society's signature fundraising initiative held annually in April, Daffodil Month.
