He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy James and Lilian James; and his brothers, David (Marie) and Jim. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Anne; his children, Brian (Kris), Garry (Pamela), David (Jennifer) and Leanne (Vince); his grandchildren, Amber (Dave), Doug (Latasha), Danae (Victor), Justin (Amanda), Josh (Angelina), Kaitlyn (Salvatore), Melissa, Abby and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Liam, Carter, Cayson, Camden, Mason, Gunnar, Elana, Brayden, Hezekiah, Corbin, Hudson, Matthew and Esther; and his siblings, Irene, Vicky (Karl), Joyce (Gary) and Peter (Virginia).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Valley View Alliance Church (333 Davis Dr, Newmarket, ON L3Y2N6). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
Dawson, Green, Marmor, and Ransom, as well as the dedicated staff at the Margaret Bahen Hospice, where each staff member and caregiver made a significant contribution to the family's well-being and to Doug's comfort care.
