He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Moffatt. He is survived by: his children, Laurie Zavitz (Glenn) and Leslie McGuire (David); his grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlyn and Cassie; his sisters, Marnie Borer and Mary Robinson; and his in-laws, Mary Duncan (Gary) and Susan Schultz (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scarborough Health Network.
