He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Stere and Lucinda Stere (Albrecht); his parents-in-law, Wilfred Habel and Rita Habel (Wagner); his siblings, Claire, Marjorie Kalbfleisch, Robert and Brenda; and his siblings-in-law, Rosie Stere (Claire), Jim Kalbfleisch (Marjorie), Betty Stere (Robert), Jean Stere (Gary), John Habel (Ann), Robert Habel (Jean), Gerald Habel (Margaret) and Howard Eichler.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Greg (Nancy), Lori (Lorne), Roger (Laura) and Darryl (Susan); his grandchildren, Alison, Nicholas, Jacob, Jordan, Michael and Matthew; his brother Gary; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Habel, Margaret Habel, Winne Habel, Connie Dammeier and Doug Dammeier.
