He was predeceased by: his child John; and his grandchild Dane. He is survived by: his children, Annette (Don), Theo (Paula), Jeff (Anita) and Colleen (Jeff); his grandchildren, Amanda, Megan-Rose, Emma, Emily, Halley, Jessica, Corey and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Noah, Bella and Memphis; and his siblings, Jeanne, Conrad, Anneke and Hetty.
Flowers are appreciated as he had a great love for flowers, however donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Newcastle Horticultural Society.
