Peter David Dywan Obituary
David (Peter) Dywan The family of David Dywan of Toronto, is profoundly saddened to announce Dave's passing on September 16, 2023 at the age of 73. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his brother Michael and sisters Beverly (Chris Sumpton) and Anne Dywan, nephews Mathew and Jeffrey Dywan, Bryn Sumpton (Thuy Lam) and niece Riel Sumpton, great nephews Jared, Jordan and John Dywan, Uncle Ken and Aunt Louise Hills, numerous cousins, along with dear friends including besties Monika & Bill Brennan and Dave "Moose" Tinsley. Predeceased by father, John Dywan, mother Margaret Dywan and brother Gordon Dywan. Some of Dave's fondest memories were from his years as a great athlete in football, hockey and wrestling, which earned him recognition as Athlete of the Year at Gordon Graydon High School in the 1970's. He was also an expert pool player, gaining notoriety as a shark at Dixie Pool Hall in Mississauga, from which he likely subsidized his weekly allowance regularly. Dave went on to work as a fitness trainer (remember "Vic Tanny's"?) prior to entering the world of sales and later as a successful recruiter in construction. He lived in the Bay & Bloor area which became his own village for 35+ years, where over those many years he developed dear friendships with everyone from his building's concierge to all the various local shopkeepers, who will also miss and remember him fondly. Dave's later years were beset with medical complications; however he never indulged in self-pity.
