Linda Louise Bates Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, at the age of 78, Linda Louise Bates (Newcastle, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Coulson Ruiter and Catherine Ruiter; and her brother Bill (Linda). She is survived by: her husband William Bates (Bill); her children, Kevin (Andrew), David (Shanna) and Tracy (Jim); her grandchildren, Michael, Katie, Paige, Colton, Brody and Jackson; her great grandchildren, Violet and Lilly; and her siblings, Carol (Orest) and Donald (Carol).

The family asks that in remembrance of Linda, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178 Poppy Fund.
