Gary McSweeney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 81, Gary McSweeney (Newcastle, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Andrew; his parents, Daniel McSweeney and Josephine McSweeney; and his brothers, Glenn and Gerald.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret McSweeney; his grandchildren, Cooper and Lily; and his brothers, Eric McSweeney (Lynn) and Marshall McSweeney (Wanda). He is also survived by his sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home (53 Division St, Bowmanville, ON L1C2Z8). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish (214 King Ave E, Newcastle, ON L1B1H5).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
