She was predeceased by: her parents, Elva McGinnis and William McGinnis; and her sister Doris Villeneuve. She is survived by: her husband Gerald; her daughter Heather; her grandchildren, Chloe and Hillary; her son-in-law Brian Flint; her siblings, Victoria (late Mel Booth), Audrey (late Howard Shaw), Lorna Bowler (Ray), Verna Patterson, Ila Holmes, Lloyd (Carolyn McGinnis) and Judy (Mike Ferrey); her siblings-in-law, Danny and Wendy Kane; and her pets, Roxy and Billy.
