He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Fennell and George; his wife Eunice (Dobbyn); and his siblings, Bill Fennell (Anne), Margery Davis and Beth White (Ed).

He is survived by: his daughters, Penny Fennell of Almonte, Margaret Struthers (Michel) of Ottawa, Barbara Fennell of London and Jane Eybergen (David) of Kincardine; his grandchildren, Elise, Sara, Louise (Mark), Rudy (Sarah), Jason (Euan), Emily, Madelyn and Zackery; his great grandchild Emerson; and his brother-in-law Bob Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
