She was predeceased by: her parents, Omer Schlegel and Oleava Schlegel; her brother-in-law Wallace Steinman; her grandson Amanj Aras Saber; and her siblings-in-law, Melvin Gingerich, Mahlon, Emma Steinman, Alvin, Ada Steinmann, Elda Steinman, Loretta, Elroy Lichti, Violet, Elroy Brenneman, Bob McCormick, Orval, Pat Steinmann and Laverne Steinman.
She is survived by: her children, Marjorie, Sharon (Dave Neufeld), Myron (Naveeda), Caroline (Mark Balcaen) and Melody; her grandchildren, Katie (Greg), Olin, Narmeen, Michelle (Blaine) and Austin (Meggan); her sister Mary Ellen Gingerich; and her sister-in-law Ruth Steinman.
She had to make many difficult adjustments with the COVID pandemic which accelerated her condition.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee, Steinmann Mennonite Church or Nithview Community - Pastoral Care which can be done through the funeral home.
