He was predeceased by: his parents, John Guil and Rita Guil (Eckert). He is survived by: his spouse Heide Guil (Kromm-Anderson); his sons, Matthew (Christena) of Brantford and Erik (Kashifa) of London; his brother Mike Guil (Sharon) of Kitchener; and his nieces and nephews, Becky, Missy, Michael Guil (Britt), Paula and Cody McPherson (Steph).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home (291 Huron St, New Hamburg, ON N3A1K2). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (247 Westmount Rd E, Kitchener, ON N2M4Z2). A reception will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stratford General Hospital, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Faith Lutheran Church, Kitchener, ON would be appreciated by the family.
