He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Zehr and Arleatha Brown (Kropf); his stepfather Sidney Brown; his son Donny (Kerri Zehr); his brothers, Glen and Murray Zehr; his stepbrothers, Doug, Roy and Howard Brown; and his brother-in-law Gary Hoffman.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Zehr (Cole); his children, Angela (Anthony Van Beek) and Brad (April Zehr); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Mathew (Britt), AJ, Willie Van Beek, Darla, Elsie Zehr, Sean and Josh Zehr; his great grandchild Jackson; his sister Karen Hamilton (Murray); his stepsister Lois Hoffman; his siblings-in-law, Greta Zehr, Jennifer Lichti, Richard Cole (JoAnne) and John Lichti; his aunt Janet Zehr; and his cousin Paul Zehr. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
