He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Hammer (Roth); and his son Peter Hammer. He is survived by: his children, Susan Hammer and Doug Hammer; his grandchildren, Kenny Hammer (Erika), Michelle Archer (David), Troy Hammer and Sadie Hammer; his great grandchildren, Donnie, Jayce Archer and Calvin Hammer; his daughter-in-law Darla Hammer (Ben); his sister-in-law Anne Hammer; and his siblings, Maurice Hammer (Lotus), Bruce Hammer, Elaine Schaefer (Lorne) and Grace Meeker (Howie). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
