He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Peter Schmidt. He is survived by: his mother Virginia; his brothers, Kim and Mark; his sister-in-law Regis (Mark); his many Schmidt; his uncle Hagen; and his friend Darlene.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (23 Church St, New Hamburg, ON N3A1J1). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
