He was predeceased by: his niece Sadie Bender. He is survived by: his son James Victor Leis (James); his parents, Irina Leis (Strih) of Williamsburg, Virginia. and Vernon Leis; and his siblings, Timothy (Anne), Paul (Marilyn), David (Sonja) and Katherine (Leis).
Jim donated his organs to medical research and cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Community Justice Initiatives, Hillcrest Mennonite Church, MEDA or a charity of your choice.
