He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Gerber and Clara Ann Gerber; his parents-in-law, Ezra and Violet Schlegel; his siblings, Calvin Gerber (Marion), Willard Gerber (Gladys), Beulah Ruby (Henry), Margaret Ruby (Roy), Inez Ramseyer (Oliver), Ellen Leis (Elton), Helen Yantzi (Lester) and Nancy; his great grandchild Noelle Parks; and his sisters-in-law, Elda Wagler and Norma Ruby.

He is survived by: his wife Ada Gerber (Schlegel); his children, Myron, Joanne Gerber, Shirley, John Brenneman, Paul and Monique Gerber; his grandson Dan Gerber (Meghan); his great grandchild Holly Parks (Ben); his sisters, Audrey Bender (Harold) and Carol Wagler (Irvin); his siblings-in-law, Velma Schlegel, Merv Schlegel (Karen), Sam Wagler and Raymond Ruby (Shirley Roth); his close friends, Sue and Rick Erb; and also, Warren, Isaac, Kathy Cochran (Jay), Kacey, Kip, Andrea McFarlane (Kyle), Charlotte, Ruby, Violet, April, Russell Brenneman, Natalie Jantzi (Matt), Hazel, Hailey and Zac Halliday. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
