She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McIlwain and Eva McIlwain; her husband Gary Byrd; and her siblings-in-law, Ron (Rosemary), Ted (Alice) and Palmer.
She is survived by: her children, Robert and Geri (Ross); her grandchildren, Max (Jeremy), Sarah and Bethany; and her siblings-in-law, Donna (Noel) and Randy (Mary Jane). She is also survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Poole Mennonite Church or the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth and can be done through the funeral home.
