He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Bender and Alvin Bender; his wife Anna Bender (Smith); and his brother-in-law Neil Dunford. He is survived by: his siblings, Elva Poole of Campbell River, Ron Bender of New Hamburg, Cindy Bender of New Hamburg, Shirley Dunford of New Hamburg, Wayne Bender of New Hamburg, Audrey Bender of New Hamburg, Ken Bender of New Hamburg, Beth Bender of New Hamburg, Tim Bender of New Hamburg, Donna Bender of New Hamburg, Joyce Jantzi and Wayne Jantzi of Wellesley; and his stepchildren, Laurie Hoyle, Dana Hoyle and Jeff Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren and a step great grandchild.
