It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Berthold Mayer of New Hamburg, Ontario, who passed away on January 18, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Berthold may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his father John Mayer; his son Craig Mayer; and his parents-in-law, Jack and Jean Duncan. He is survived by: his mother Maria Mayer; his brothers, Mario Mayer (Lee-Anne) and Reinhart Mayer (Marg); his brother-in-law Dennis Duncan (Joan); his daughter Katrina; and his granddaughter Keiran. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532 (65 Boullee St, New Hamburg, ON N3A1E1).
